| Using wire that works |
Wire used in mechanical baling operations is
subject to forces not normally associated with
other wire applications. The stresses put on the
wire when tied mechanically and the loads which
it must handle when creating bales makes it far
from being the average wire used in fencing or
general tying applications.
If a wire is to perform well through a variety
of machines and load types, it must meet a number
of requirements. The most important of these are:
• Correct elongation;
• Controlled tensile strength; and
• Smooth oiled finish.
Our products have been developed to suit major brands of baling machines and
are tested regularly for elongation and tensile strength. These two factors,
above all, are important in minimising wire breakage when tying bales under load.
The wire has a lightly oiled smooth finish ensuring that it runs cleanly through
the dies and reduces machine wear. |
